What will an acne skin peel involve?
Your skin care practitioner will complete a detailed consultation to establish your skin type, grade of acne, history and the cause of the acne, all of which will decide the best acne treatment program to suit you.

The Blemiderm® treatment process consists of two in clinic treatment phases:

First, the Blemiderm® pre-treatment peel is applied at the clinic by a qualified skin care practitioner. This is an exfoliating solution. The AHA’s and BHA formula starts to unclogs and purify the skin’s pores. This process prepares the skin for phase two of the Blemiderm® treatment process.

Second, the Blemiderm® treatment mask is applied at the clinic by a qualified skin care practitioner. This is an anti-blemish skin mask. A unique combination of AHA’s, BHA, blemisome complex, kaolin and sulphur reduces hyperkeratosis and excess sebum. With overall corrective, regulating and antibacterial actions to reduce acne blemishes.

It is essential to continue the treatment program at home by applying the specifically prescribed homecare products advised.

We provide three options of the acne treatment program to suit your grade of acne, skin condition and lifestyle.

The Blemiderm® program provides quick and effective results for high grade of acne symptoms. It is an intense procedure whereby visible peeling and sensitivity can last several days. The program involves taking 3 treatments every 14 days.

The Blemiskin MD Peel provides effective results for medium grade of acne symptoms. A less intense peel procedure whereby peeling can last 1 to 2 days. The program involves taking 3 to 5 treatments every 14 days.

The Blemiskin Peel provides effective results for mild grade of acne symptoms. A less intense peel procedure whereby micro peeling can last 1 to 2 days. The program involves taking 3 to 5 treatments every 14 days.

The Blemiskin Peel options are less intense, with less skin reaction therefore easier to fit in to your busy life and provides an excellent option for the reduction of acne symptoms. The results are not as affective on high grade acne symptoms where the Blemiderm® treatment program is advised.

We always work progressively not aggressively where every program starts with a Blemiskin Peel and works up to the more intense version to ensure skin suitability.

Why have an acne skin peel procedure?
Mesoestetic professional Blemiderm® and Blemiskin acne peels are the most technologically advanced and scientifically formulated available for acne skin improvements. Ideal for all grade acne symptoms and ethnic origins.

Treatments are suitable for the Face, Neck, Chest and Back and produces outstanding results in the treatment of:

• or simply maintain a clear healthy skin

When you are undertaking any skin peel treatment, it is very common for underlying deep congestion to work to the surface of the skin. We may advise at some point of the program to take a Steam and Pore Extraction, which will enable us to remove any congestion as it appears.

Does it hurt?
Some intense heat can be experienced during the time of the Blemiderm® peel application; care is taken to make it as comfortable as possible.

Less heat can be experienced during the time of the Blemiskin MD peel, with even less heat with the Blemiskin peel application; care is taken to make it as comfortable as possible.

With all peels, a sensation of sensitivity and skin tightening will be experienced immediately post treatment for up to 2 days, followed by skin dryness whilst the dead skin is peeling; the severity of these symptoms will depend on the intensity of the peel taken.

How many treatments do I need?
The Blemiderm® is a program which involves 3 treatments taken every two weeks. The Blemiskin peel is taken prior to this program in preparation to taking the Blemiderm® treatments.

A single Blemiskin peel treatment provides excellent results. However, depending on your skin condition, grade of acne and your skin improvement goals, you may need further treatments, or the Blemiskin MD or Blemiderm® peel program to achieve desired results.

How quickly will I see the results?
You will see some results immediately. However, due to the few days peeling process the skin can appear dry and flaky until the completion of the peeling, when the true results become visible.

How long will the results last?
Commencing a single Blemiskin peel treatment the skin will appear clearer and brighter for several weeks and up to several months commencing a course of Blemiskin, Blemiskin MD or Blemiderm® peel treatments. However, this depends on many factors such as how one cares for one’s skin post treatment, the severity of one’s natural oil production, diet, stress, hormone influences and lifestyle.

Side Effects & Aftercare Post Peel Treatment
There is a recovery and healing period post peel treatment; therefore treat as a hyper sensitive skin.

Blemiderm® Peel After Care
Use the specific products prescribed to continue the treatment at home daily.
Use Mesoestetic SPF50 Daily.

Avoid exposure to the sun, heat treatments and swimming for two weeks.

Blemiskin Peel After Care
Use the specific products prescribed to continue the treatment at home daily.

Avoid exposure to the sun, heat treatments and swimming until the skin has completely peeled and appears calm.

Use Mesoestetic SPF50 Daily.

All Peels
Do not peel, pick, scratch or scrape the skin, or any loose skin resulting from the treatment, this must come off in its own time with no assistance; ignoring this advice can lead to scarring.

It is strongly advised to avoid sun, sunbed, UV exposure whilst on the program to ensure the best possible effect and prolong results.

I have recurring milia so I’m constantly coming to see her for extractions. Before my first visit she answered all of my questions and made me feel like she really cared before I’d even met her.
