Yoga & Vitality was created by Angela Taffinder in 2020 as an online yoga and wellness platform to support people physically, emotionally and mentally during the pandemic.

A subscription library with pre-recorded video classes from yoga, movement, breathwork and guided mind-work was produced by Angela during the lock-downs and is available via a FREE subscription. New recordings will be coming soon.

Small group yoga classes are available soon at the Emporium Treatment Clinic.

Yoga, breathwork and guided mind-work help develop strength, improve posture, boost energy, increase the mind-body connection, improve overall health and vitality physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

Nutritional advice and articles, along with healthy recipes are available to support holistic living and achieve a greater sense of wellbeing and vitality.

Hi, I’m Angela Taffinder

I have been in the wellness industry for over 35 years.

I specialise in providing skin care, figure improvement, and wellness treatments with a holistic, result-driven approach for which my clinic has always remained at the forefront in central London.

In more recent years my knowledge and expertise has expanded to include teaching yoga and abiding by all holistic principles.

My 57 years have thrown up a fair share of life’s obstacles, through which I have expanded my knowledge and understanding on both a professional and personal level. Practicing yoga, with a holistic life approach, has provided me with the tools to adopt many modifications in order to create a healthier and more positive life style.

With my commitment, knowledge and skills, I look to support others through the practice of yoga and wellness towards a more fulfilling life journey.

Studio Classes

Studio classes are available one to one and small groups up to 4 people.

One to one session provides ways to specifically target an area of concern, and offers the tools for self-development and helps you to work towards your own personal goals.

Small group yoga sessions can be adapted to accommodate up to 4 people practising together. This is a great experience for a like-minded people looking to step onto the yoga pathway or develop and deepen their personal yoga practise.

Connect, interact and smile with people in a yogic community at in studio classes.

Yoga

Yoga is a combination of mental, physical and spiritual practices or disciplines which originated in ancient India. The practice focuses on alignment, strength, flexibility, endurance, balance, breathing and mindfulness that embraces mind, body and spirit.

There are many lineages of yoga that have adapted over the many thousands of years to offer a diverse range of modern yoga practice as we know it today, practice that consists of a sequences of either dynamic or slow movements, that combine soft and hard with fast and slow actions, in a balanced and natural way.

As a health promoting practice it uses breath, movements, poses, focus, mindfulness and meditation to promote physical, emotional and mental wellbeing.

Breathwork

Breathwork, known as Pranayama, is a type of yogic mindfulness practice that focuses on breathing techniques that originated in ancient India. Pranayama is a Sanskrit word that means “breath control”, and it is an essential part of many forms of yoga.

There are many types of breathwork techniques that have been adapted over thousands of years to offer the diverse range of breath control practices we know today. These practices consist of either dynamic or slow breathing, that combine soft and hard with fast and slow actions in a balanced and natural way, and each one has its own unique benefits.

As a health-promoting practice, breathwork can promote physical, emotional and mental wellbeing.

It helps to improve overall health and harmony between body and mind, and to harness spiritual development.

Breathwork can be incorporated into your daily yoga practice or done on its own. It is important to practice the breathing techniques properly and with caution.

Guided Mindwork

Guided Mind-work based meditation is the process of training your mind to focus and redirect your thoughts.

A trained practitioner will apply techniques such as focusing the mind on a particular object, thought, or activity to fine tune your attention and awareness to achieve mental clarity, emotionally calm and balanced state; increasing awareness of yourself and your surroundings.

The practitioner may use written text, sound recording, video, or audiovisual media comprising music or verbal instruction, or a combination of both.

When we are able to shift that concentration where we need it to be, we are able to go deeper into meditation and more profound benefits to improve our lives.

Recipes

From an early age I believed in the importance of healthy living and the role food played. Even from a young age I cooked healthy food options for my family.

Over 30 years ago my interest in food intensified after developing food intolerances and life-threatening allergies, which lead me being in the care of an immunologist for several years.

My biggest food challenge was when my son aged 4 was diagnosed with ADHD. I concentrated on an additive and preservative free diet without the intervention of medication which helped manage his condition greatly.

Recently I started to catelogue some of the recipes of the typical foods I eat with my family and love.

Healthy, nutritious recipes to include breakfast, lunch, mains, sides, salads, soups, snacks, sweet treats and deserts.
