Why Have A Consultation?

A consultation is the essential initial step before beginning any professional treatment. It is ultimately the foundation for achieving the best possible results.

Every individual is unique and a thorough consultation ensures that any treatment recommended is safe, appropriate and personalised to each individual.

Most importantly, a consultation is about clarity and confidence. Each individual should leave feeling informed, comfortable and fully aware of what to expect with no pressure to proceed.

A professional consultation ensures:

• You are suitable for the recommended treatment
• You understand how the treatment works
• You have realistic expectations about results
• You are fully informed about any potential risks or downtime

It also provides an opportunity for you to ask questions and feel confident in your decision before proceeding.

What Does A Consultation Involve?

First, a brief telephone conversation will ascertain the initial point of treatment interest, suitability and if there are any contra-indications or medical precautions.

Then you will be asked to complete a comprehensive digital client questionnaire.

The professional practitioner will then asses the questionnaire to ascertain if any treatments would potentially be suitable for your needs.

Once potential suitability has been verified you will be asked to visit the clinic for a face-to-face consultation with the professional practitioner.

The face-to-face consultations can take up to 30 minutes.

During the face-to-face consultation, we will discuss:

• Your specific concerns
• Your expectations & goals
• Your medical history
• Any medications or supplements you are taking
• Allergies or sensitivities
• Hormonal influences
• Lifestyle factors such as stress, diet, sleep, recreation habits
• Sun exposure
• Your current self-care / skincare routine
• Treatment options, costs, timelines & expected results
• Any questions you may have

At the same time as the face-to-face verbal consultation the area of concern will be professionally assessed.

A patch test may also be required for certain treatments.

What Does An Assessment Involve?

The assessment procedure would depend on the type of treatment you are considering such as a skin care treatment, body shaping, weight loss or wellness.

For a skin treatment the professional practitioner will cleanse the skin, then assess the skin under magnification and woods lamp for hydration levels, oil levels, congestion, texture, elasticity, pigmentation, sensitivity, veins, fine lines, wrinkles and overall skin health.

For a body, weight loss or wellness treatment the professional practitioner may ask you to remove some items of clothing to assess the specific area, client privacy and care is always at the forefront.

All observations of the assessment are noted on the client’s records.

What Is involved In Treatment Planning?

Once the comprehensive client questionnaire, face-to-face consultation and assessment have been completed a bespoke treatment plan can be created.

The treatment plan is created taking into consideration, treatment options, costs, timelines & expected results.

Each treatment plan is created with a holistic result-driven approach to best suit each individual.

(This is redeemable against any treatments taken).

I have recurring milia so I’m constantly coming to see her for extractions. Before my first visit she answered all of my questions and made me feel like she really cared before I’d even met her.
I have hundreds of milia and every session she has the patience of a saint, removing each one by hand.
It’s a bit of a painful procedure but she’s so lovely and friendly that I feel at ease the second I step through the door and she always works her magic quickly and carefully, using lots of cooling and soothing aftercare to help calm down my skin.
Over the years, she’s put so much time in to helping me work out what’s causing them and how to prevent future flare ups.
I have been to other places for milia removal in the past but Angela is by far the best (and more reasonably priced than some of the bigger companies). I wouldn’t even dream of going anywhere else now.
