Fat Dissolving Injections

Fat Dissolving Injections provide a non-surgical, minimal invasive alternative to liposuction.

Excess pockets of fat are injected with a natural based solution which causes the fat cells to dissolve without damaging the surrounding cells. This process will then dispose of the unwanted fat over a period of 3 to 4 weeks via the lymphatic system and kidneys.

Excellent results are achieved in reducing the excess fat under the chin, abdomen, hips, back, thighs, upper arms, underarms, armpits and under-bra area.

An ideal procedure for those who follow a healthy diet and exercise regularly but have pockets of fat that are suborn, and will not go despite conscious efforts.

Are You A Suitable Candidate For Fat Dissolving Injections?

Guidance on whether you would be a suitable candidate for Fat Dissolving Injections can be provided during a health strategy consultation from your aesthetic practitioner.

If you have a known pocket of localised fat, then investigation of the cause should be conducted by your aesthetic practitioner.

Fat Dissolving Injections is a body contouring treatment, not a weight loss solution.

Fat Dissolving Injections are suitable for small, localised areas of excess fat whereby you are able to pinch 3cm of fat. Individuals must be within one stone of their recommended body weight to be suitable for the injections.

Embarking on Fat Dissolving Injections opens up the possibility of achieving greater feeling of vitality and confidence.

What is a Fat Dissolving Injection?

The Lipo-dissolving Mesotherapy, (Fat Dissolving Injections), is a non-surgical, minimal invasive alternative to liposuction.

Fat Dissolving Injections involve a natural based solution being injected into localised pockets of fat on the body to break down the fat cell membrane, destroying it permanently, thus liquify and dissolve the fat cell, releasing the lipids which will then be disposed of via the lymphatic system and kidneys.

Aqualyx Fat Dissolving Injections, also known as Aqualyx ® consists of a natural substance phosphatidylcholine; when given in higher doses via an injection to the localised target area it can cause fat cell destruction.

Lemon Bottle® Fat Dissolving Injections is an alternative to Aqualyx ® and consists of natural substances riboflavin (Vitamin B2), Bromelain and Lecithin; when given in higher doses via an injection to the localised target area it can cause fat cell destruction.

What will it involve?

Your aesthetic practitioner will complete a detailed consultation to establish your concerns and improvement goals, all of which will determine the optimum treatment program to suit you.

The Fat Dissolving Injections selectively target localised excess pockets of fat, whereby the natural based solution dissolves the fat without affecting the surrounding area, this causes the unwanted fat to liquify and subsequently be disposed of via the lymphatic system and kidneys.

Each target area treated involves multiple Fat Dissolving Injections.

This procedure takes approximately 15 minutes.

Who administers the Fat Dissolving Injections?

A fully qualified, experienced and competent practitioner will administer the Fat Dissolving Injections.

How is the Fat Dissolving Injection prepared and administered?

The fat dissolving solution is supplied in a sealed sterile glass ampule which is stored carefully until such time as it will be administered. The product is prepared just before it is administered for the best quality results.

A sterile station is prepared for the administration of the Fat Dissolving Injections. The top is snapped off the glass ampule, the fat dissolving solution is drawn up into a syringe and the appropriate sterile needle is attached.

The injection site is sterilised, the injections are administered into the target areas selected. The procedure is very quick, a short, sharp pain during the injection may be felt.

Why consider Fat Dissolving Injections?

Fat dissolving Injection can be used to reduce unwanted pockets of localised fat in the following areas of the body:

  • Upper abdomen
  • Lower abdomen
  • Saddle backs
  • Arms
  • Chin
  • Flanks
  • Waist
  • Inner & outer thighs
  • Underarms & armpits
  • Under-bra area

Does it hurt?

The actual procedure is very quick. A short, sharp pain during the injection may be felt. However, each individual has a varied pain threshold in relation to the needle insertion.

Care is taken to make the injection as comfortable as possible.

As with all injections there may be some mild temporary discomfort and redness in the site of the needle insertion, which subsides quickly.

How many treatments do I need?

A single treatment is generally successful. However, depending on the amount of excess fat you want to reduce and the results you expect to achieve, it may be advised to take further treatments into the target area 3-4 weeks apart.

How quickly will I see the results?

The results are not instantly visible, as the dissolving process of the fat cells require 3 to 4 weeks to be exposed of by the body.

How long will the results last?

Fat Dissolving Injections are an affective fat reducing solution with long term results, provided you retain a stable weight, follow a healthy diet and continue with an exercise regime.

Are Fat Dissolving Injections safe?

Aqualyx ® Fat Dissolving Injections have an excellent robust safety record and have always been an effective approach to fat reduction.

Lemon Bottle® is a new product on the market which has shown good results. However, it’s not CE-marked or approved by MHRA. The absence of these regulatory certification means that Lemon bottle may not have gone through the same level of rigorous testing and safety protocols at this time.

Is Aqualyx safer than Lemon Bottle?

Aqualyx is widely considered to be safer, largely due to its long-standing reputation and use of clinically proven deoxycholic acid. While Lemon Bottle is generally regarded as safe, it does not yet have the same extensive track record.

It’s important to note that Fat Dissolving Injections should only be administered by a qualified practitioner, who can assess your individual needs and determine if the injections are appropriate for you.

Care is taken to ensure patient safety at all times.

Are there any side effects?

As with any injectable procedure, there are potential side effects.

The common side effects are pain during injection, redness, swelling and soreness around the injection site lasting up to a few days.

You may also experience some bruising around the injection site.

Some people can faint or feel faint with needles and injections. It is important to tell your practitioner as soon as possible if you feel unwell during or after the injection.

Uncommon side effects include dizziness, headache, nausea, vomiting, hot flushes, skin reactions, chills, tremor, insomnia.

There is a risk of an allergic reaction or anaphylactic reaction to the fat dissolving injection. Whilst rare, allergic reactions to fat dissolving injections can occur. If you have a history of allergies, it’s important to inform your practitioner.

In the event of anaphylaxis or any serious side effects, you would require emergency medical attention.

Are there any other important considerations?

While Fat Dissolving Injections can be beneficial for the reduction in excess pockets of fat, it’s important to consult an aesthetic practitioner who works alongside your primary care physician where needed.

There is extensive scientific evidence for the effectiveness of Fat Dissolving Injection treatments. However, some natural solutions may interact with medications you’re taking, so it’s crucial to disclose all medications to your healthcare practitioner.

It is important that you see your GP or wellness practitioner if you suspect or display any adverse symptoms.

Emporium has been my facial clinic for the past 15 years, I have tried many of their facial options. I recently had the Nlite Rejuvenation laser facial…

What our customers say

I visited the clinic last week for a deep cleanse facial and milia removal. The milia was rather large and had unfortunately become irritated, inflamed and sore. Angela was fantastic and I couldn’t believe how quickly she removed it. She made sure there was as little discomfort as possible, and talked me through everything she was doing. My skin felt wonderful after the facial also!

I really appreciated Angela giving me advice prior to my appointment, and checking up on how my skin was healing after.

Great personable service that I fully recommend.
