Medication Precautions
Some medications have to be out of your system for a certain amount of time before we can treat and some require extra precaution to be taken.
Check with your GP if you are taking prescription medication.

Hair Thinning & Loss

Hair thinning and loss, also known as alopecia is a common condition that can affect all demographics.

Although alopecia is not a fatal condition, hair loss can be a challenge to manage, often affecting one’s self-confidence. Alopecia can be a source of significant psychological distress for many individuals.

The severity of this condition can vary, and can present with mild hair thinning, to excessive hair loss; androgenetic alopecia is a heredity condition which can lead to baldness.

What will it involve?

Your aesthetic practitioner will complete a detailed consultation to establish the cause and severity of the hair loss, along with your improvement goals. All of which will determine the most suitable treatment planning for you.

The area to be treated is sterilised.

The needling treatment takes approximately 30 minutes.

The needling treatments selectively target the scalp to stimulate vasularisation to the hair follicles, supply nutrients and increase collagen levels to the hair follicles, which in turn promote the reduction of hair loss and stimulate hair growth and strength.

Biotin Intramuscular Injections takes 15 minutes.

What are the types of treatment?

Here are some of the following hair loss procedures:

Mesotherapy Bio Revitilisation

The Mesotherapy action of the needle triggers a physical action in the dermal structures, whereby it can be ‘tricked’ into producing new collagen in the scalp/hair follicle in response to the perceived injury.

This process instantly promotes vascularisation around the hair follicle which increases cellular regeneration, improving hair follicle activity.

Mesotherapy MCT Gun is an advanced device which provides the intradermal route in aesthetic medicine; it benefits the hands-free system in that it measures the depth of each micro-injection in an accurate, controlled and safe way.

Use of the intradermal route is a medical procedure that consists of localised micro-injections into the skin/scalp to reduce hair loss and improve hair growth along with multiple aesthetic concerns such as hyper-pigmentation, loss of flaccidity, fines lines and wrinkles, cellulite and fatty areas.

M-Pen Micro-needling
M-Pen Micro-needling is an advanced needling device, designed to perforate the skin/scalp to increase absorption or pharmaceutical active ingredients. The action of the needle triggers a physical reaction to stimulate the production of natural collagen within the scalp/hair follicle to promote hair growth repair and regeneration.

The M-Pen device provides a range of needle depths and techniques which make this an adaptable and extremely precise treatment.

Successful in the reduction of hair loss and can improve hair growth along with multiple aesthetic concerns such as open pores, scars, hyper-pigmentation, loss of flaccidity, fines lines and wrinkles, water retention, cellulite and localised fat.

Biotin injections

Biotin injections are a nutritional supplement procedure, where a high dose of Biotin is administered directly into the bloodstream.

This injection is administered intramuscularly, using a small needle.

An injection is an effective way to deliver the Biotin nutritional supplement to the body as this technique bypasses the digestive system.

Biotin injections are an effective procedure to obtain and support health and strengthen hair, skin and nails.

What pharmaceutical active ingredients are used?

Mesotherapy mesohyl

Mesoestetic mesohyl is the most extensive range of sterile active ingredients for Mesotherapy intradermal administration.

Exclusive formulas with a hyaluronic acid base and active ingredients of recognised efficacy and compatible with other medical procedures.

The mesohyl solutions administered for the hair loss treatment are the NCTC 109, a bio revitilisation cocktail of 11 vitamins, 23 amino acids, 6 minerals and 3 enzymes combined with Biotin.

C.prof M Pen Micro-needling Solution

C.prof 230 Hair Loss Solution generates a powerful protective effect that stimulates the hair follicle. It stops hair aging, revitalising and strengthening hair, while improving microcirculation and providing nutrients to the follicle, thus reducing hair loss.

Active Ingredient include; Copper Tripeptide-1, Vit-B Complex and Dexpanthenol, Biotin, Pyridoxine and Capsaicin.

With a prior diagnosis, our aesthetic practitioner will evaluate your needs and will select the most appropriate treatment and formulas to be applied.

The needling techniques and pharmaceutical formulas increase blood flow in the scalp/hair follicle, boosts nutrients absorption and collagen levels stimulating hair growth. Also, prolongs the growth phase during transition from anagen to telogen.

Does it hurt?

Each individual has varied pain threshold to the needling action. Care is taken to make it as comfortable as possible.

How quickly will I see the results?

Results can be achieved progressively over a series of treatments as the vasularisation to the follicle is stimulated, nutrient absorption to the hair follicle enhanced and the increase in collagen produced in the scalp/hair follicles.

How long will the results last?

Commencing a course of treatments the hair growth can appear for several months.

However this depends on many factors, such as how one cares for their scalp and hair post treatment, the severity of one’s natural hair growth, diet, stress, hormone influences and lifestyle.

There is a recovery and healing period post any needling treatment.

During the first 48 hours it is advised not to expose the area treated to heat, sun, sun bed, UV-light and extreme minus temperatures. Avoid the use of sauna, or steam room, waxing, hair removal/bleaching, hair dye, AHA’s, BHA’s, Retinal, self-tanning lotions and non-mineral base hair/scalp make-up.

Do not massage or rub the area for 48 hours (washing the hair is fine) as this will disperse the pharmaceutical products.

I have recurring milia so I’m constantly coming to see her for extractions. Before my first visit she answered all of my questions and made me feel like she really cared before I’d even met her.
