More FAQs
What is Li-FT® Saline Tattoo Removal?
Li-FT® Saline Tattoo Removal is a safe and highly effective saline-based tattoo lightening treatment.
The Li-FT® Saline Tattoo Removal solution is an all-natural hypertonic solution that contains no acids and no chemical peels.
The Li-FT® active ingredients are tattooed onto the unwanted tattoo to allow for the breakdown of the tattoo.
This treatment is suitable for permanent make-up procedures and smaller body tattoos.
What will it involve?
After a detailed consultation where you will be asked to fill out a form to establish if there are any reasons why you may not be suitable for Li-FT® Saline Tattoo Removal, we will then patch test you for the treatment.
Patch tests involve a small scratch to the skin (usually behind the ear) and Li-FT® Saline Tattoo Removal solution and anesthetic creams will be applied. This will determine if you are likely to have any reactions to the treatment and must be carried out a minimum of 24 hours before your appointment. If you are unable to get to the clinic for your patch test, a home kit can be sent upon request.
At your appointment an anesthetic cream will be applied to the area. The Li-FT® Saline Tattoo Removal solution is then applied as the practitioner applies the needling device; the area of the skin will bleed (which is what is expected to happen). Anesthetic cream may be applied throughout the entire treatment. The area treated will then will then form a scab and the healing process takes place, it can take from 4 to 6 weeks for the original colour to become much lighter.
Why have the procedure?
The Li-FT® Saline Tattoo Removal is a great option to remove/reduce any unwanted tattoo providing it is no bigger that the size of a pack of cards or smaller. The Li-FT® Saline Tattoo Removal is ideal for the removal/reduction of permanent brows or lips.
Does it hurt?
The treatment procedure is virtually painless. A topical anesthetic cream is applied to the skin prior to the treatment. Some mild discomfort may be experienced on the first needling pass over the unwanted tattoo, clients often describe this feeling to be similar to mesotherapy micro-needling. The area is continued to be anesthetised throughout the treatment, managing any signs of discomfort.
The needles used in the device are micro size and nothing to be afraid of; your practitioner will ensure the procedure is as comfortable as possible, her expertise has been known for her clients to even fall asleep during procedure.
How many treatments do I need?
You may require two to three treatments to complete the procedure and gain the desired removal/reduction of pigment. Your follow up treatments should be taken 6 weeks after.
How quickly will I see the results?
Results can take up to 6 weeks to experience a reduction, you may experience swollen or inflamed skin whilst the healing is in process. Usually, the colour will fade by around 60% before your second treatment. The completed desired results will be fully visible after your second or third treatment is complete.
How long will the results last?
The results of the reduction/removal are permanent.
