What will Micro-needling involve?
For optimum skin improvement M-Pen Micro-needling is best taken after an exfoliation treatment such as a Micr0-dermabrasion & LED, Fresh Up Light or a Chemical Skin Peel to lift layers of unwanted dead skin cells’ improving the surface of the skin. The M-Pen Micro-needle treatment will repair the deeper layers of the skin’s structures.

Your skin care practitioner will complete a detailed consultation to establish your skin type, condition, and your skin care improvement goals, all of which will determine the most suitable exfoliation treatment, pharmaceutical active ingredients and planning to suit your skin.

Commencing apre-exfoliation treatment, or simply a cleanse if you opt out of the pre exfoliation treatment, the M-Pen Micro-needling is applied along with the application of the pharmaceutical active ingredients.

The M-Pen Micro-needling selectively targets dermal structures, whereby it can be ‘tricked’ into producing new collagen in response to the perceived injury whilst the cocktail of pharmaceutical active ingredients are absorbed into the skin via the thousands of epidermal micro-canals.

This process instantly increases cellular regeneration, improving tired, dull, dehydrated skin, fine lines, wrinkles, pigmentation, open pores and acne scars, leaving the skin feeling instantly rejuvenated, plumped, smoother, fresh and glowing.

The body treatments reduce the toxic build up, reducing fluid retention, cellulite and localised fat.

The pharmaceutical active ingredients:
Mesoestetic c.prof
c.prof is an extensive line of active ingredient cocktails that provide effective solutions for the main facial, body and capillary aesthetic concerns.

The high variety of active ingredients included in each formula promotes the natural events of cell repair, while reducing skin tissue disorders. Its PH is within the physiological PH range, thus ensuring an optimum skin tolerance level.

The range of solutions include: depigmentation, photo ageing, mesotox, mesopeptide, draining, lipolytic, body firming, skinmark, cellulishock and hair loss.

Mesoestetic x.prof
x.prof is a wide range of sterile active ingredients for medical-cosmetic use. With a prior diagnosis, our skin care practitioner will evaluate your needs and will select the most appropriate formulas to be applied individually or to produce customised combinations.

The range of solutions include: artichoke extract, caffeine, L-carnitine, organic silicon, melilot and rutin extract, mesostabyl, dexpanthenol, viatamin c, DMAE, piruvex, oligoelements, biotin, hyaluronic acid and more.

Does this skin treatment hurt?
Each individual has varied pain threshold to the needling action. Care is taken to make it as comfortable as possible. An anesthetic cream may be applied where applicable.

How many treatments do I need?
A single treatment will provide an instant skin rejuvenation effect; a course of treatments would be advised for more problematic concerns.

Depending on the needle depth applied and if the pen is combined with other modalities we strongly advise a course of 3 to 6 treatments taken every 2 to 6 weeks to provide effective results and the longevity of the skin results.

How quickly will I see micro-needling results?
You will see results immediately after a single treatment and progressively over a series of treatments as the new collagen and elastin molecules mature into a well organised matrix in the dermal layer of the skin, increasing volume from within the skin, plumping out fine lines, wrinkles, open pores and scars, along with overall improvements in skin tone, sun-damage and ageing skin.

There is an instant visible reduction in fluid retention and overall improvement in cellulite, which is also progressive over a series of treatments.

In the treatment fat reduction generally at least 3 sessions would be required to see results.

How long will M-Pen Micro-needling results last?
Commencing a single treatment the skin will appear taught and bright for several days and up to several months if a deeper needle depth is applied or commencing a course of treatments.

However this depends on many factors, such as how one cares for their skin post treatment, the severity of one’s natural oil production, diet, stress, hormone influences and lifestyle.

There is a recovery and healing period post M-Pen Micro-needling treatment.

During the first 48 hours it is advised not to expose the area treated to heat, sun, sun bed, UV-light and extreme minus temperatures.

Avoid the use of sauna, or steam room, waxing, hair removal/bleaching, hair dye, AHA’s, BHA’s, Retinal, self-tanning lotions and non-mineral base make-up.

Do not peel, pick, scratch or scrape the skin, or any scabs  resulting from the treatment, this must come off in its own time with no assistance; ignoring this advice can lead to scarring

Do not massage or rub the area for 48 hours (cleansing the skin is fine) as this will disperse the pharmaceutical products.

No exercise or massage treatments for 72 hours after the treatment as this will disperse the pharmaceutical products.

Aftercare products will depend on your skin type and skin concerns.

For a healthier skin your skin care practitioner will guide you with a personlised home care skin regime.

It is a MUST to wear Sun Protection SPF 50+ daily.

I have recurring milia so I’m constantly coming to see her for extractions. Before my first visit she answered all of my questions and made me feel like she really cared before I’d even met her.
