Nlite Vein Reduction

What will a vein reduction treatment involve?
Your skin care practitioner will complete a detailed consultation to establish your skin type, condition, and your skin care improvement goals, all of which will determine the most suitable treatment and planning to suit you.

A Laser consultation is essential, prior to taking any of the laser treatments.
Following a skin cleanse, the Nlite laser is applied.

The Nlite laser energy is delivered to affected areas on the skin surface, where it safely treats the vascular lesions, breaking them down into microscopic particles which are then disposed through the skin’s natural eliminating process.

Nlite vein reduction also reduces any associated scars which may be in the treated area by stimulating new collagen and elastin to the reconstruction of the matrix in the deeper layers of the skin, plumping out scars, open pores, fine lines and wrinkles.

Why have the procedure?
Nlite is ideal for all skin types and ethnic origins up to skin type 4, suitable for the face and the body.
Types of vascular lesions we can treat are:
•    Small broken veins
•    Spider angioma
•    Telangioma
•    Cherry angioma
•    Haemangioma,
•    Piokiloderma of Civatte
•    Port wine stains
•    Talangiatasia
•    Venous lakes

Does it hurt?
Each individual has varied pain threshold to the laser energy delivered to the vein. Care is taken to make it as comfortable as possible.

How many treatments do I need?
Generally up to 3 treatments are advised to reduce a typical thread vein. However several more treatments may be required to remove larger vascular lesions.

How quickly will I see the results?
Immediately after the laser application, red dotted bruising will appear over the treated area of the skin, inflammation may follow. This is normal and a part of the skin’s defense system to deal with the destruction and removal of the lesion.
The healing process can vary from 10 to 28 days, depending on the type of vascular lesion and location on the face or body, and the intensity with which we treat the lesion.

How long will the results last?
Following a course of treatments, the vascular lesion will be destroyed. The results, however, depend on many factors, such as how one cares for the skin post treatment, diet, stress, hormone influences and lifestyle.

Treat the skin as a sensitive skin, avoid heat treatments and swimming for at least 72 hours or until the skin appears completely calm.

Avoid taking any anti-inflammatory medication for the next 72 hours to ensure you receive optimum result to injury.

Avoid exposure to the sun until the red dotting bruising has disappeared post treatment.

Due to the visible red dotted bruising on the skin, the application of a camouflage make-up would be advised to ensure you can go about your day to day routine.

For a healthier skin, your skin care practitioner will guide you with a personlised home care skin regime.

Use an SPF50 daily.

I have recurring milia so I’m constantly coming to see her for extractions. Before my first visit she answered all of my questions and made me feel like she really cared before I’d even met her.
