Vitamin E is a fat-soluble component with distinctive antioxidant properties. Its role is to protect cells from oxidative stress, a major factor in several human diseases such as, ageing, arthritis, and cataracts. A diet which is high in Vitamin E cannot have an optimum effect unless it is also rich in foods which contain vitamin C, vitamin B3, selenium and glutathione. This is because vitamin E is dependent on these nutrients.
Viridians Natural Vitamin E is extracted from soya bean oil and is present in the form of d-alpha tocopherol. There are eight naturally occurring forms of vitamin E; namely, the alpha, beta, gamma and delta classes of tocopherol and tocotrienol, these are often synthesised by plants from homogentisic acid.

Vitamin E should not be taken in conjunction with blood thinning medications. Vitamin E may heighten the effects of anticoagulant drugs such as Coumadin, Warfarin. Vitamin E may also increase the inhibition of platelet aggregation caused by aspirin.
