International Women’s Day

IWD is a global awareness day marked annually on the March 8.

For more than a century people around the world have been celebrating this special day for women.

Initiated from the early 20th century women’s rights movement, giving focus to women related issues such as gender equality, reproductive rights, violence and abuse against women.

International Women’s Day is a day to celebrate the achievements of women all over the world in social, cultural, economic and political arenas.

It is a day to tap in to unity, equality, and advocacy for women.

Women are an integral part of the universe, each individual aiming to contribute with compassion to the protection of our environment, our rights, and our sanctuary.
